Call for entries
NBO members are invited to submit work for the online exhibit Every 1 2026.
The goal of the exhibition is to provide an all-inclusive, members-only biennial basketry show that demonstrates the breadth and scope of the basketry that NBO members create.
All works in the exhibition will be on view in a dedicated gallery of images hosted on the NBO website August 6 through December 31, 2026.
Every 1 2026 is part of Handwork 2026, presented by Craft in America.
We encourage all members to submit work for this celebration of basketry within our organization.
Dates of exhibition: August 6 – December 31, 2026.

Everyone who enters will have work included in this exhibition.
NBO members are invited to submit two works. One entry will be selected for the exhibition.
Entries accepted April 1 – 30, 2026.
Prior to entering, please download and read the prospectus.
Before starting the entry process, make sure you have these ready:
- High quality photographs of your basketry works: 1 photo per piece and photographer’s name. Click here for photo requirements
- For each work: title, dimensions (H x W x D) in inches, year, and description of your techniques and/or materials (max. 750 characters)
- An artist statement (max. 750 characters — about 150 words)
- A credit or debit card to pay the entry fee. (You can also pay by check.)
