This piece is a work in metal textile, with joined cold-formed copper frames – an open hand and a spiral vessel – and looped stitching in copper and fine silver. It is an intimate and personal offering, being molded on my own hand, and carries both a promise and a plea. Ultimately, it is about love and caring, power and empowerment, and about a way of being in the world. It seems appropriate for our times.
