I am a self taught basketmaker living in Durham, NC. I began making baskets at the genesis of the pandemic in 2020 after retiring from a long career in healthcare, and I was immediately comfortable with the medium. I make baskets for functional and decorative use primarily employing traditional forms and techniques, inspired by the patterns, colors, and rhythms of nature and everyday life.
