Keeping it Together

My practice is a continuous dialogue between materiality and concept, where each piece speaks to both the intricacies of handmade processes and the broader, more intangible themes of transformation and movement. In this collection, I’ve given emphasis on the theme of mending what appears to be a mass of unorganized shapes, a bunch of chaos. Some shapes blending into others while some shapes remain distinct and unattainable. With a skilled hand and the right intention mending can be seamless. Alternatively, mending can also open the doors of an evolution of character and an act of resistance. However you look at it, mending is hope even in the face of chaos.
