I am a native of Louisville, Kentucky. I studied under Lida Gordon at the Louisville School of Art and at the University of Louisville (UofL) studying fiber construction and surface design. It was during that time that I started creating coiled baskets. I received by Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UofL with a major in textiles, and a minor in printmaking in 1984. I have been creating coiled linen baskets for over 40 years. My work has been printed in Arts Across Kentucky magazine and Louisville Today magazine.
