I work with ply-split braiding and fibre basketry techniques, making bowls, baskets and vessels. Wool is my preferred weaving fibre, and I also work with bark and plant fibres. I make my own tools and draw on a range of skills, sometimes combining my work with carved antler, wood or stone. My inspiration comes from nature and I spend a lot of time with ancient trees.
I look to traditional methods, but try and find my own style of. expression to make something unique and beautiful. I like simple lines that bring elegance to something that’s earthy.
