When you join NBO, you join a lively community of people who care about the past, present and future of basketry in America.

We offer five membership levels

(Basic and Enhanced Memberships for those outside the USA include a mailing surcharge of $10 for Canada and $20 for other countries)

All members are eligible for the following:

• A subscription to NBO’s Over/Under E-newsletter, with news about NBO members, articles and videos from expert basket makers, and notices of upcoming events of interest to the basket making community
• NBO Presents! – live online workshops featuring a variety of basketry topics, makers, and methods.
• Early registration for the NBO Biennial Conference (so you can get into your favorite workshops before they fill up!)
• Submit your work to all NBO exhibitions
• Submit workshop and event listings to the NBO website calendar

Notes

• Individual memberships may include up to two people living at the same address,  but include only one copy of the Basketry + magazine and one conference-eligible registration.
• Basketry guilds, businesses, galleries, etc. can join at any level and receive the benefits associated with that level. However, the benefits relating to the national conference and NBO exhibitions are limited to one representative from the group. 
• Get discounted rates on select two-year memberships: Two-year Basic membership $155 (save $5). Two-year Enhanced membership $215 (save $5).
• Enhanced and Advocate members are eligible for a listing and link on the NBO website.
  • Professional artists and teachers may choose to have either an Enhanced Member page or a website link and description of your work (up to 100 words) on the Business Members page.
  • Museums and schools receive a link and description (up to 100 words) on the Museums & Schools page.
  • Other basketry-related businesses receive a link and description (up to 100 words) on the Business Members page.

• You will always receive an email notification when your membership is about to expire. Your renewal will begin at the end of your current membership. When you renew, please consider stepping up to a higher level of support.
• The National Basketry Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Federal Tax ID# 39-2001-901. Any amount above the Basic Member rate of $80 may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
