I love following my curiosity and solving problems by working with a variety of materials and techniques. Often, I work from a stockpile of salvaged wire, which I built up while working as an attorney at a semiconductor company. Recycled materials and found objects such as teabag wrappers, glass shards, used toys, and rusty detritus are also often used. Similarly, I enjoy the process of constructing three-dimensional creations through a range of techniques, including twining, knotting, weaving, and knotless netting. Through my work, I hope to explore themes of abundance, consumer excess, and our relationships with everyday objects. But I also want to express exuberance and have fun by playing with materials, shapes, textures, and colors.
