Blessing Bowls

These bowls are made from long leaf pine needles from North Carolina. They were dyed and treated, then coiled onto the base. The bases are made from wild micaceous clay, hand-dug in the mountains of northern New Mexico. They are pit-fired and kissed with smoke clouds.

Lift up your supplications, pay homage for your gifts, create a safe place for your precious objects. These bowls reflect my artist’s journey. The long leaf pine needles came from North Carolina. They were dyed and treated, then coiled onto the base. The bases are made from wild micaceous clay, hand -dug in the mountains of northern New Mexico. They are pit-fired and kissed with smoke clouds.
