My work is a reaction to the global crisis of plastic pollution. I use cast off, surplus, and waste materials. The palette is the color story of the consumer culture, deceptively bright and cheery. These materials are by-products of the modern age, physically and conceptually. One-time-use and disposability are very recent innovations. What we throw away doesn’t go away and will haunt us for who knows how long.
