Fiesta

I create large sculptural pieces using reed primarily, in a technique based on Appalachian ribbed basketry. As a Kentucky native, I identify strongly with the state’s vibrant culture: the food, accent, rich green countryside and most importantly, the stories told to me through generations in my family. My artworks continued these stories. They are rooted in history and place as their shape and forms reach out to the future.
