Sphere

Before retirement, I taught art to blind students and discovered basketry in my search for projects for them. After retirement, I stayed with basket making because I enjoyed the connection I felt to early hunter/gatherers and their baskets. My favorite technique is random weave which was influenced by a workshop taught by Flo Hoppe at Asilomar many years ago. My favorite natural material is curly willow, and more recently hardenbergia vine.
