NBO wishes to congratulate member Helen Leaf on her artwork currently on display in multiple locations across the United States. Three of Helen’s ply-split pieces are currently on view:
Smoke of Wildfires – Sunlight’s Warmth and Hope is wrapping up its time on view in “Small Expressions 2025”, a Handweavers Guild Association (HGA) touring exhibition that is currently in Michigan. Her basket was awarded third prize for best in show. Congrats, Helen!
Pink/Yellow/Fins is featured in Fiber Art Now’s exhibition “Vivid”, at the Herrig Center for the Arts in Bradenton, Florida.
Thar (pictured above) has been on view as part of the Complex Weavers’ “Complexity” exhibition in Lakewood, Colorado.
Helen also has several ply-split pieces that will be featured in upcoming exhibitions, including Woodpecker, which will be traveling with HGA’s touring exhibition “Small Expressions 2026”, and Party!, which will be a part of HGA’s 2026 Convergence® mixed media exhibition, “Threaded Revelry: Throw Me Something”, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
