Page County, VA has a long tradition of white oak basket making. Come learn traditional white oak basketry from a Page County, VA native! Students will be making, from start to finish, a traditional Page County Kidney Basket. If the students find this is more advanced than their skill level, they can choose to make a market basket.
They will be shown how to make their own materials for the basket of their choice and then be shown how to put the basket together.
