I use handmade and recycled papers, plant fibers, found natural objects, and recycled wire, employing basketry techniques to create contemporary sculptural forms. These forms may contain ancient memories, remnants of thoughts, or feelings. My interest lies in the relationship and tension between my inner space and the outer world. Because the materials I use are mostly biodegradable and malleable, they are easily defiled by natural forces and, like life itself, will change or dissolve when least expected.
