Flight of Fancy

Metal is my fiber - I actually learned to weave wire before learning basketry. It is the textures – both visual and tactile – that draw me to metal and to weaving. Most of my work incorporates weaving, crochet/knitting, folding and/or hammering with metal and wire. As a metals and basketry artist I switch things up regularly - incorporating metalsmithing elements into my basketry work, as well as using basketry techniques in my jewelry work.
