Circles

A basket of woven red cedar supports a pine needle rim woven with waxed Irish Linen thread. Interlocking circles of pine needles wrapped with different colored thread revolve around the top of the basket.

Basket making has been a large part of my life the last few years. I am enjoying trying new material together, the pine needles and the red cedar joining to form a texture and open spaces that tell stories to me.
