I pealed spring harvested Hazelnut limbs for the ribbed construction. All lashings and weaving is done with hand gathered and prepared Western Red Cedar inner bark. Surface design is made with cedar bark cordage.

Since 1985, I’ve been making basketry and art using plant materials I’ve grown, or gathered with permissions from logging sights. I hope the art I am inspired to make reflects my deep relationship with the place I live, the plants that grow here, and my respect and gratitude for Indigenous Peoples living today who are caring for this land as their ancestors have done since time immemorial.
