Co-curated by Curator of Exhibitions Devorah Romanek, Curator of Ethnology Lea McChesney, and artist Cael Chappell, the exhibit features more than 170 baskets made by Indigenous artists from across North America between 1000+ years ago and 2021. The museum is  profoundly grateful to the many basket makers and cultural knowledge holders who shared their insights and knowledge with us as we explore the past, present, and future of basket making in an era of intensifying climate change.
