Donate to the NBO Annual Appeal!

Dear Friends,We have so much to be grateful for as we end 2022! The National Basketry Organization has thrived through tumultuous times because of our board and staff. This group is filled with creative thinkers working tirelessly on our programs. In 2022, Virtually Woven: Crossing Boundaries was another success as we increased programs, included two lectures, and added a web cam to a  Virtual Artist-in-Residence. The feedback was wonderful. NBO members also participated in our online members exhibition, Every 1 2022.

In 2023, Tradition and Innovation Basketry 11 will happen at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Workshops are filling fast. Additionally, the Board is working on a new website with a view of making it more user friendly, with access to additional member-only content. Basketry+ will be available digitally as well as in print, enabling a wider audience. Our goal with the NBO Basketry+ magazine is to feature a diverse population of makers helping to feed your artists’ mind.

Art Evolved: Intertwined is our collaboration with Studio Art Quilt Associates featuring 30 artists from each organization. Opening in June of 2023, this exhibit will travel for the three years and will help expand the concept of what a basket is and can be.

We appreciate every member and donor,  knowing that you have made NBO a priority in your life and annual giving. If you have already donated, we thank you. If not – there’s still time! Make your gift today!

This year our Annual Appeal goal is $22,000. Thank you for promoting and supporting NBO!
