Call for entries
You are invited to submit work for the NBO juried exhibition Basketry Now 2025, on view July 29 – October 18, 2025 at Textile Center, a national center for fiber art in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Basketry Now 2025 broadly surveys artistic expressions in basketry created by established and emerging artists and makers. The exhibition aims to showcase diverse approaches that demonstrate superior craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and original concepts.
Exhibited works will also be on view on NBO social media. NBO encourages all basketmakers to submit work for consideration for this prestigious exhibition.
Timeline
- Entries accepted: February 15 – March 30, 2025
- Artists Notified: May 10, 2025
- Artwork must arrive at the Textile Center by July 14, 2025
- Exhibition dates: July 29 to October 18, 2025
- Artist reception: August 7, 2025
To enter
Prior to entering, please download the prospectus.
Then prepare the following:
- An artist statement (max. 60 words)
- For each work:
- title
- dimensions (H x W x D) in inches
- weight in pounds (if displayed on a pedestal or suspended from ceiling)
- year
- sale price
- description of your materials (max. 60 words)
- description of your techniques (max. 60 words)
- 1 or 2 photos Click here for photo requirements
- A credit or debit card to pay the entry fee. (You can also pay by check.)
