In this experimental workshop, students will learn methods for building skeletal structures with rigid and semi-rigid materials like rattan, bamboo, wood and found materials. Techniques will include lashing and chaotic plaiting. To build skins onto these structures, we will work with gut, rice papers and a variety of netting systems.
