DESCRIPTION:This program is part of Handwork 2026\, presented by Craft in A
 merica\n\nCalling all curious and colorful weavers! This basket weaving wo
 rkshop puts the FUN in fundamentals for folks of all skill levels.\n\nWe
 ’ll start with Japanese paper cord on the first day\, which will get us 
 accustomed to weaving a twined basket.\n\nYou can continue to work with Ja
 panese cord or move to waxed linen thread. Learn the basics of how to make
  bases\, shape the side of a basket\, finish rims\, build blocks of twined
  patterns\, and so much more.\n\nChoose your own colors and thread sizes t
 o adjust the difficulty level. Think big and create abstract and sculptura
 l pieces\, or think small by making tiny baskets. With individualized inst
 ruction from Cael\, it’s a basketry choose-your-own-adventure!\n\nApprop
 riate for all skill levels as instruction is individualized to each studen
 t.
