Discover the simple yet versatile beauty of stitching pine needles, round reed, and paper rope into pots, bowls and cylinders.  Enhance and embellish the baskets with varied surface design techniques and materials.  Geometric design, collage imagery and text, handmade paper, colorful acrylic paint and embroidery floss are among the possibilities.  Diverse artistic backgrounds and skill levels make for a creative class environment. All welcome.

Elizabeth Whyte Schulze’s stunning baskets have long been sought after by collectors. She exhibits widely in the United States including recent exhibitions at the Mobila Gallery in Cambridge, MA, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Pittsburgh, PA, and the Fountainhead Gallery in Seattle, WA.  She was a recipient of the Massachussetts Cultural Counci 2009 Fellowship for Crafts.
