Exhibit ~ Mesilla Valley Weavers: Threads Through Time
Threads Through Time” is a diverse exhibition that features 44 different woven works from the artists of the Mesilla Valley Weavers Guild.
With everything from items of clothing to decorative arts, the works on display will show how weaving has evolved from a necessary task to become an important form of art.
The Mesilla Valley Weavers Guild was created in 1972 to stimulate interest in the artistic and technical developments of the fiber arts, and to share knowledge and skill in different weaving methods and structures.
The exhibit will be in the Arts Corridor through March 31, 2013.
The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is 47 acres packed with real stories about real people.
The interactive museum, which has welcomed visitors from all over the world, brings to life the 3,000-year history of farming and ranching in New Mexico.
