Watch via ZOOM as master basket weaver Ed Carriere demonstrates hand splitting cedar limb and cedar root for basket shaping and weaving. He will share some of the projects he’s been working on, and leave plenty of time for questions.

An Elder of the Suquamish Tribe, Ed has been the subject of many films, books, and articles. In addition to being a master basket weaver, he is a canoe builder and skipper, a totem pole restorer, and a cultural teacher. Ed is a Creative Resident at Bloedel Reserve in March 2021.
